Jordan Ott

Jordan Ott is in his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets and will be sharing his insights about how he uses data to optimize the NBA teams performance. Previously, Jordan spent three seasons as the video coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks with Head Coach, Mike Budenholzer. Prior to joining the Hawks, Ott served in the same capacity with the Michigan State men’s basketball program for five seasons under Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo. Jordan will share how he combines performance data with his expertise to drive The Nets success. 

Kate Weiss

Kate Weiss is the Director of Sports Science for the Seattle Mariners Baseball organization. She oversees the gathering and dissemination of all data relating to player health, readiness and performance, as well as overseeing the performance nutrition program. Prior to joining the Mariners in 2021, she spent the previous 2.5 years with the Los Angeles Dodgers as Major League Sports Science Coordinator, where the team won the World Series in 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science, Kinesiology from the University of Southern California in 2009, Master of Science, Exercise Science – Biomechanics from Ball State University in 2013 and PhD in Sports Science and Biomechanics from Auckland (NZ) University of Technology in 2017. She has worked with a wide variety of sports including basketball, football, American football, field hockey, tennis, and baseball.

Steve Gera

Steve spent a decade working in the NFL as a coach, scout, and executive before co-founding an AI company that helped TeamSky Cycling to Tour de France wins in 2015 & 2016. He became a partner at Hickory VC, a sport investment firm and along the way began advising European football clubs. In 2017 he co-founded Gains Group as the leading innovation firm for sport and entertainment with former NFL player Dave Anderson.
